About International Medical Corps

Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, we are a nonprofit with no political or religious affiliation, and now have more than 8,000 staff members around the world, more than 96% of whom are local. Our mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that strengthen underserved communities worldwide.

With the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergencies, we offer medical services and training to people at the highest risk, always working to strengthen local healthcare systems and promote self-reliance.

Our Approach

Our software applications were designed directly in the field, where developers worked closely with healthcare professionals and supply chain experts to examine the challenges faced by medical staff and patients. By immersing themselves in field offices, medical facilities and crisis zones, developers gained first-hand insights into the intricacies of healthcare delivery and supply-chain management at the last mile.

This direct engagement informed the software design process, resulting in innovative solutions tailored to the specific demands and constraints found in service delivery points in remote settings. The collaborative efforts between software experts, healthcare professionals and supply-chain specialists led to the creation of practical, intuitive and technologically advanced software that significantly enhances the effectiveness of healthcare provided at remote locations, elevating the quality of care
